Apply to Join Beyond UA!
We'd love to have you join our Discord community! With over 60 members that actively roleplay, there is always an adventure waiting right around the corner for your Boku no Hero Academia character!

Open positions are not filled on first-come, first-served basis.
Each character goes through a review process by our moderation team to ensure they are a good fit within the Beyond UA server! If a character is rejected, it means the OC did not comply within our guidelines. You can find out more about our Evaluation Process further down the page.

Before applying, please read our OC guidelines and Role Primers so you know what to expect:

Event Roles
These roles are temporary and vary from event to event. They are available only for the duration of an event or for brief plot-related appearances. Some Event Roles may have responsibility for RPs, much like UA Staff or World characters but this varies, based on the event. Examples of characters in these roles include civilians, parents, monsters and more.
There is a limit of one Event Role per roleplayer at a time and they do not count towards your Character Slot limit.

The three Character Slots can be filled with any three Roles, though there are certain limits:

-
A roleplayer may only hold one Staff Role at a time, either a Teacher or Faculty member.
-
Similarly, a roleplayer may only hold one World Role at a time, such as a Pro Hero, Villain, or Vigilante.
-
A roleplayer may have both a Main Student and a Teacherless Student at a time, because each roleplayer is granted multiple possible Student Roles.
-
A roleplayer's first character must be an active role, such as a Main Student or a Responsibility Role character. They may fill their remaining three slots with only Teacherless Students.
As per these limits, it is possible for a roleplayer to have both a Staff and a World character at the same time. However, we will always prioritize spreading the responsibility among server members when deciding which characters to accept.

We recommend first applying with a Main Student Role character, as this is a Role almost everyone in the server shares. In the case you were accepted with a Responsibility Role character as your first character, you may apply for a Teacherless Student without having a Main Student. However, it is not possible to remain in the server with only a Teacherless Student OC should you choose to drop your Responsibility Role character.

The Evaluation Process
Please be patient as the Mod Team at Beyond UA reviews every application submitted to us. We take this process seriously and strive to keep the process as impartial and fair as possible.

For evaluating Student OC applications, the Mod Team assigns a block of students to each member to make preliminary decisions and discuss aspects of the applications that may be cause for concern with the rest of the team. Our criteria is based off our OC Guidelines and we make sure that every character meets them before accepting.

Evaluating applications for Responsibility Roles (Staff and World) is more intensive. Each moderator evaluates the applications and notes down their thoughts. After everyone has given their thoughts, the team votes on the most suitable option after assessing pros and cons fairly. Due to discussion during this process, votes tend to be rather uniform.

If a member of the team feels a strong personal bias towards the applicant being evaluated, they will disclose their bias and abstain from the process.
The Mod Team will never release the direct details of our evaluation process, such as the composition of our votes or the identity of the primary evaluator, to maintain privacy. The critiques we offer as part of the decisions we send out to applicants are a summary of the entirety of the opinions we had within our team.
Depending on the applications' merits, the Mod Team may decide to allow applicants to modify and re-submit your character during the post-application revisal period. If an applicant gets a rejection letter after the revisal process, unfortunately, that means you may need to look over your application once more. Don't be discouraged -- we heartily encourage you to apply again in our next wave!
The evaluation periods' closing date is listed on our website and announced through our social media.
Acceptance letters will be sent within a 2-week period after the evaluation period ends. Once you receive your letter and the Discord server invite, we encourage you to join and read through the “Info Office” category. Follow the presented guidelines to gain full access to the server.
